Created in June 2010 by Catherine Seixo, architect and designer in Bordeaux, brand Bbk illustrates a unique world dedicated to children, inspired by children's fashion of the early century decorative arts and 30s. For his Spring/Summer 2013, Bbk brings us into the Italian atmospheres of Visconti's movies. An Italy, shimmering, a romantic Italy, where the themes Venezia, Lampedusa, decline tones of celadon blue, tangerine, ocher. The fabrics are soft and refined: the silk satin ribbon is decorated with black silk taffeta, satin brocades for a bodice, lace collar on a dress pastel sorbet. The collection plays on a range nuanced and elegant. And always, the Black & Ivory collection, which revisits the codes of kidswear 20s, with cuts and resolutely contemporary associations. Thus the theme Charleston, with her dress flying and cotton embroidered sets Gatsby, where taffeta and chiffon adorn jackets checkered black and beige, not forgetting the boys chic and bib pants, shoes bicolor bjones in tribute to golfer Bobby Jones. Bbk offers us this season, a clothing line for children upscale, chic and refined, made exclusively in France, where garment factories expertise continues.
My special thanks to Catherine Seixo-Becker, Founder and Designer of Bbk, for her kind collaboration.
